The University of the Punjab, Lahore, invites applications for the 2nd Admission Test for Undergraduate Programs for the academic year 2024-25. Ranked as the Most Improved University in Asia and No. 1 in Pakistan for graduate employability and nurturing future leaders, PU Admissions 2024 requires all applicants to appear in the Admission Test. The second test is tentatively scheduled for 21st July 2024.
Eligibility for the Admission Test includes students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or equivalent/Grade 12 education, as well as those who have appeared in the final HSSC examination and are awaiting results.
The Admission Test Categories are as follows:
- Pre-Engineering PU-E
- Pre-Medical PU-M
- Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences PU-AHS
- ICS with Physics Combination PU-CSP
- ICS with Statistics Combination PU-CSS
- General Science PU-GS
- Commerce PU-COM
The test contributes 25% to the total merit calculation. Last year’s test results are not valid for new admissions.
The Admission Test will be conducted in major cities across Pakistan. Details about the test breakup and marks distribution are available at PU Admission Test.
To apply, visit the registration link at PU Admission Test Registration. The non-refundable test fee is PKR 2000/-. Applicants must download the fee challan, pay at any branch of HBL, UBL, or through Mobile Banking via 1Bill, and upload proof of payment on the portal to complete the application.
For engineering programs, entry tests like E-CAT UET, NUST Test, PU-E, or PU-CSP are acceptable. Both LAT and PU Admission Test are mandatory for LLB Programs. The PU Undergraduate Admission Test and a Drawing/Aptitude Test are required for the College of Art & Design. For Pharm-D, MDCAT or PUM Admission Test is valid.
The admission notice for all departments will be advertised on 3rd July 2024 in national dailies and on the university’s website. The last date for online registration is 2nd July 2024.
