In a commendable move towards inclusivity, the University of Education, Lahore, has announced the nominations for Disabled Persons in various academic programs for the Spring 2024 session, as per Notification No. UE/R/2024/18. The Vice Chancellor, guided by clause 2.1 of UE Admission & Examination Regulations 2022, has spearheaded this initiative, extending reserved seats for MS/MPhil/MBA and PhD programs.
The distinguished nominees include Tasneem Ashraf and Muhammad Javed Ali, set to pursue PhD in Botany and MS in Zoology, respectively. Tasneem Ashraf, achieving an impressive merit score of 77.97 in the Division of Science and Technology, and Muhammad Javed Ali, with a merit of 66.09, are poised to contribute to academia at the UE Faisalabad Campus.

However, these nominations bear a provisional status, necessitating candidates to promptly deposit their dues within three days of the Notification issuance. Non-compliance will result in the cancellation of their admission offers, underscoring the importance of adherence to specified timelines.
Maintaining the integrity of the nominations is paramount, prompting Directors and Principals of respective divisions and campuses to meticulously verify nominee eligibility. Compliance with the approved scheme of studies, University Regulations, and fulfillment of codal formalities are imperative in this process.
The dissemination of the Notification to key offices, including the Pro-Vice Chancellor, PS to Vice Chancellor, PA to Registrar, Concerned Director/Principal of UE Division/Campus, Controller of Examinations, Treasurer, Resident Auditor, and Director Information Technology, ensures swift and informed action.
This initiative not only demonstrates the Universitys commitment to equitable opportunities but also underscores the significance of integrating individuals with disabilities into mainstream education.
