UAE Universities Shine in Times Young University Rankings 2023

The recently released Times Higher Education THE Young University Rankings 2023 has recognized the achievements of several universities in the United Arab Emirates UAE. Out of the nine UAE universities featured in the rankings, six have secured positions within the top 250, while the remaining three have been designated as reporters due to not meeting THEs eligibility criteria. The latest updates of UAE Universities Shine in Times Young University Rankings 2023 are shared online for the students.

UAE Universities in the Rankings:
The leading position among Emirati universities in the Young University Rankings 2023 is held by UAE University. It is closely followed by the University of Sharjah and Khalifa University. These institutions have demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook, as evaluated by THE using 13 performance metrics across four key areas.

The Young University Rankings is an annual compilation of the worlds best universities that are 50 years old or younger. To determine the rankings, THE employs the same 13 performance metrics used in their World University Rankings. These metrics assess various aspects, including teaching quality, research output, knowledge dissemination, and global outlook.

Global Rankings Overview:
The 2023 edition of THEs Young University Rankings encompasses 605 universities from 78 countries. The top spot this year is secured by Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, followed by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in second place and Paris Sciences et Lettres – PSL Research University Paris in third place. Hong Kong boasts the highest number of institutions in the top 10, while France dominates the top 20. Turkey emerges as the most-represented nation with 47 universities, followed by India with 45 institutes and the United Kingdom with 39 universities.
