STEVTA Announces Admissions for DIT Program 2024

The Government of Sindh, through the Sindh Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority STEVTA and the Trade Testing Board Sindh, is pleased to announce admissions for a 1-Year Diploma in Information Technology DIT program. This course is designed for both male and female students and is available in both morning and evening sessions, offering flexibility to accommodate various schedules.

Program Structure:

The DIT program is divided into two semesters, each lasting six months. The curriculum is structured to provide a comprehensive foundation in information technology, covering both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Semester I:

Information Introduction Technology IIT: An introductory course designed to familiarize students with the basics of IT.

Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet: This module covers essential office applications that are widely used in professional environments.

Networking Essentials Using Windows Server 2012: A course focused on the fundamentals of networking, using the Windows Server 2012 platform.

Programming Concept Using C: Introduces students to the basic concepts of programming using the C language.

Web Development/Programming: Provides knowledge and skills related to web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Live Projects: Hands-on experience working on real-world projects to apply the skills learned in the classroom.

Semester II:

System Analysis and Design: This course focuses on understanding and designing efficient IT systems.

E-Commerce: Covers the basics of electronic commerce, including online marketing, transactions, and digital business strategies.

Java Programming: An introduction to Java, a versatile and widely-used programming language.

Visual Basic and SQL: Teaches Visual Basic for application development and SQL for database management.

Oracle: Focuses on the Oracle database management system, an essential skill for data management.

Live Project: Continuation of hands-on projects, providing practical experience and exposure to real IT challenges.

Admission Details:

The program is open to individuals who have completed Matriculation or an equivalent qualification. Admissions are on a first-come, first-served basis, encouraging prospective students to apply early to secure their place in this popular program.
