Federal and provincial education ministers have made the decision for the cancellation of the matric and intermediate classes annual exams this year. They decided to promote the students to the next class through the newly proposed average marking system for the students. This suggestion was presented to the federal education minister during a meeting being conducted among the education ministers and secretaries of all educational boards. SSC & HSSC Marking & Promotions Proposed Formula This Year.
This formula is prepared for the promotion criteria of the students on the basis of their previous details. This suggestion is under consideration and it is expected that it will be implemented after final approval on Friday.
Matric Part 2 (10th class)
The students, who are studying the 10th class, their average marks will be calculated by adding the obtained marks in 9th class and the calculated marks (obtained marks in 9th class / total marks of 10th class).
Inter Part 2 (Second Year)
To calculate the average marks for 12th class, the obtained marks in 11th class will be included with (obtained marks 11th class / total marks of 10th class).
Matric Part 1 (9th class)
The proposal suggests to skip 9th class annual exams this year and the matric part 2 annual exams will be held in 2021. The average marks for SSC part 1 will be calculated as per formula: Obtained marks for matric will be included with (obtained marks in 10th / total marks of Class X).
Inter Part 1 (First Year)
During the meeting the proposal was floated that 11th class annual exams will not be conducted and the second year exams will be held next year. In order to calculate the first year annual exams, obtained marks for 11th class be included to (obtained marks in 11th class / total marks class X).
Another suggestion is also given that the annual exams are skipped this year and the composite exams will be held next year.
For Improvement Cases
The students, who want to improve their marks, they will also be given the slight edge in average marking and their average marks will be calculated by this formula:
Obtained marks will be added with (marks obtained in 9th or 11th class / total marks in class X).
For Failed Papers
For the failed papers cases, the average marks for each subject will be calculated by (marks obtained in 9th or 11th class / total marks in class X)
