Schools and colleges in Sindh will be Closed Tomorrow
Sindh College Education Department has declared that all public and private educational institutions under its jurisdiction will remain closed on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. This decision is in observance of Shab-e-Mairaj, which falls on the 27th night of Rajab in the Islamic calendar. Details of the Official Notification
The closure notice was issued by Asif Ikram, Secretary to the Government of Sindh, following a resolution made during a meeting of the Sub-Committee of the Steering Committee on Education. The meeting, held on November 28, 2024, decided to honor the religious observance by closing educational institutions throughout the province.
Significance of Shab-e-Mairaj
Shab-e-Mairaj commemorates the night when Prophet Muhammad PBUH ascended to the heavens, a key event in Islamic tradition. This sacred occasion holds great importance for Muslims worldwide, as it is believed to be a time for reflection, prayer, and seeking divine blessings and forgiveness.
