Schedule For Reopening Of Schools In All Provinces
Recently National Command and Operation Center NCOC held a meeting and directed the government to reopen the educational institutions only in districts which has the rate of COVID-19 cases as low as 5%. Following the NCOC decision, all provincial governments has decided to reopen the schools and colleges in the districts with less than 5% cases of corona virus.
The government of Sindh has decided keep closed educational institutions in 12 districts as the ratio of positive cases of corona virus in these districts is high, while rest of districts are allowed to reopen the schools and colleges on July 2021.
In the same way, the Government of Punjab has allowed to reopen the schools and colleges in the districts with less than 5% cases. The Punjab govt has issued an official notification in this regard. According to the notification issued to Education Department, Government of Punjab, the Punjab schools and colleges are allowed to reopen on 24th May 2021 in the 16 districts like Bahawalnagar, Jhang, Nankana Sahib, Sahiwal, Chakwal, Jhelum, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Chiniot, Kasur, Pakpattan, Sialkot, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahuddin, Rajanpur, and Vehari, while the educational institutions in 6 districts will remain closed till 6th June 2021.
The Secretarty of Education, Governmenmt of Balochistan has decided reopen all public and private educational institutions on 24th May 2021. The Schools and colleges in the Quetta will remain closed.
The Elementary and Secondary Education Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to reopen all private and government sector educational institutions in 13 districts onm 24 May 2021 like Battagram, Buner, Lower Chitral, Upper Chitral, Dera Ismail Khan, Hangu, Khyber, Upper Kohistan, Lower Kohistan, Kolai-Palas, Karak, Kurram, Lakki Marwat, Mohmand, Malakand, Orakzai, Swat, North Waziristan, South Waziristan, Tank, and Torghar. However, the educational institutions in remaining districts will remain closed due to more than 5% corona virus cases rate, as per the directions of NCOC.
