Registration Open for HEC Law Admission Test LAT August 2024
Higher Education Commission HEC has opened registration for the Law Admission Test LAT 2024. This test is required for candidates seeking admission to a five-year undergraduate LLB degree program at HEC/PBC-recognized public and private universities, institutions, and their accredited affiliated colleges. The LAT will be administered in major cities across the country, allowing students to select their preferred exam center. The LAT is scheduled for August 10, 2024, with the application deadline set for July 23, 2024. Candidates must apply online via the HEC website. Note that passing the HEC LAT is mandatory for admission to the LLB program in any government or private university and their affiliated colleges.
Eligibility Criteria for the HEC Law Admission Test
- Students who have completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or an equivalent qualification.
- Students who have taken the final examination of HSSC or an equivalent qualification and are awaiting their results.
- Any changes to the exam date will be communicated through the HEC website. Registered applicants will be able to download their Roll Number Slips a week before the exam. Notifications regarding the exam date, time, and venue will be sent via email or SMS. Candidates must provide valid email addresses and mobile numbers when filling out the online application form. To enter the exam center, candidates need to bring a printout of their Roll Number Slip and their original CNIC.
How to Register for the HEC Law Admission Test LAT 2024
- Visit the HEC registration portal online.
- If you encounter any issues during registration, visit onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk, the HEC Secretariat, or HEC regional offices for assistance.
- Registration involves two steps: completing your profile in the "My Profile" section and submitting your application through the "Law Admission Test" link in the menu panel on the left-hand sidebar of the portal.
- Only applications marked as SUBMITTED will be considered for the LAT; those in SAVE or INCOMPLETE status will not be accepted.
Additional Requirements and Conditions
- Test Fee: Rs. 1800/-, payable via 1Link 1Bill invoice through participating banks, ATMs, internet banking, mobile banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash, or Upaisa.
- After selecting the link bill invoice payment option, log into your mobile banking app, choose Bill Payment Services, and enter the consumer number generated by the ETC portal. Confirm and pay the fee.
- After payment, verify your online payment on the ETC Dashboard. Ensure all queries and complaints are resolved before the registration portal closes.
- The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Late handling of applications is not possible due to logistics and security reasons.
The final date for online registration is July 23, 2024.
