Quaid i Azam University QAU Declares Winter Vacation Dates
Quaid-i-Azam University QAU, located in Islamabad, has issued a formal announcement regarding its winter break. The university will remain closed for QAU Winter Holidays starting December 26, 2024, and will reopen on January 2, 2025, with academic and administrative functions resuming as scheduled.
Winter Break in Federal Capitals Private Institutions
In parallel, the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority PEIRA of Islamabad released the holiday schedule for private schools and colleges. As per the official circular dated December 20, 2024, all private institutions in Islamabad will observe winter holidays until January 5, 2025, and classes will restart from January 6, 2025.
This alignment of schedules between public and private institutions ensures a smooth transition into the new academic year while allowing families and students adequate time to plan their vacations.
