Punjab Launches Six-Month IT Training Program for Rural Women
Chief Minister of Punjab has introduced a six-month IT and digital skills training program aimed at empowering women in rural areas. As part of this initiative, 27,000 rural women will receive scholarships to support their online training. Upon successful completion, participants will be provided with desktop computers and free Wi-Fi devices to facilitate their digital journey. The Punjab Skills Development Department will be responsible for managing the training process. Encouraging Freelancing and Entrepreneurship
CM Punjab emphasized that this program is designed to equip rural women with essential digital skills, enabling them to explore opportunities in freelancing, tech startups, and online business management. By providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge, the initiative aims to foster financial independence and promote digital inclusion among women in Punjab’s rural communities.
