Educational boards across Punjab, including Lahore, have raised fees for various certificates, duplicate documents, and data corrections, making exams and related processes more expensive for students. These fee adjustments will impact individuals seeking attested certificates, corrections in personal details, and other essential academic documents. The cost of attesting certificates or photocopies for international use has surged to Rs. 6,000. Similarly, obtaining a certificate before the standard processing time now costs Rs. 6,000, a significant jump from the previous Rs. 1,000 fee. Students applying for late result cards from 2010-12 will now pay Rs. 1,000 instead of Rs. 700, while duplicate result cards now require a payment of Rs. 5,000.

Updated Fees for Data Corrections and Migration

Several other charges have also increased, affecting students needing corrections or migration documents:

  • Rs. 2,000 for registration cancellation, result card cancellation, reappearing in practical exams, and migration cancellation.

  • Rs. 1,500 for making corrections in name, parentage, birth date, age, or address.

  • Rs. 4,000 for obtaining migration and No Objection Certificates NOCs.

  • Rs. 5,000 for corrections in intermediate result cards within two years.

  • Rs. 6,000 for corrections in result cards issued between two and five years ago.

  • Rs. 10,000 for making changes to certificates that are over ten years old.

Increase in Late Admission and Book Affiliation Fees

The penalty for submitting a late admission form has been raised substantially from Rs. 100 per day to Rs. 600 per day. Additionally, the book affiliation fee has seen a rise from Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 3,000, further increasing the financial burden on students and institutions.

Approval of Fee Changes

These revised fee structures were officially approved during the 522nd meeting of the educational board. The increase in costs is expected to impact thousands of students and professionals seeking academic documentation and corrections in Punjab.
