Punjab Announces Winter Holidays for Colleges
Higher Education Department HED of Punjab has officially released the winter vacation schedule for all higher educational institutions in the province. The students can get latest updates of Punjab Announces Winter Break for Colleges.
Winter Vacation Dates for Colleges
As per a notification issued on December 18, 2024, both public and private colleges under the department’s authority will be closed from December 24, 2024 Tuesday until January 5, 2025 Sunday.
Resumption of Classes
The notification specified that classes will recommence on Monday, January 6, 2025, marking the end of the winter break.
BS 4-Year Programs and Examinations
It was clarified that the BS 4-Year programs will continue as scheduled throughout the vacation period. Furthermore, all planned examinations will be held as per the notified timelines from the relevant boards and universities.
Communication of the Announcement
The Secretary of the Higher Education Department issued the announcement, with copies of the notification sent to key officials, including the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, and heads of various educational bodies.
Ensuring Compliance with the Schedule
The HED has instructed all concerned authorities to ensure that the schedule is strictly followed, emphasizing the importance of promptly resuming academic activities after the winter break.
