PU Makes Admission Test Mandatory for Undergraduate Programs 2025
University of the Punjab PU has announced a new admission policy for the 2025-26 academic year, making it compulsory for all undergraduate applicants to appear in the PU Admission Test. The entrance test is scheduled for Sunday, June 15, 2025, and will be conducted in multiple cities across Pakistan. Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
Students eligible to apply include those who have completed their HSSC qualifications FA/FSc/ICS/I.Com as well as those awaiting their HSSC Part-II results. This broad eligibility ensures that a wide pool of students can participate in the test.
Test Categories and Merit Contribution
The PU Admission Test 2025 is divided into seven subject groups, each carrying 25% weightage toward the final merit:
- Pre-Engineering PU-E
- Pre-Medical PU-M
- Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences PU-AHS
- ICS Physics Combination PU-CSP
- ICS Statistics Combination PU-CSS
- General Science PU-GS
- Commerce PU-COM
Note: Test results from the previous year will not be valid for the 2025 admissions.

Special Notes for Specific Programs
- Engineering Programs: Candidates may submit PU Admission Test, ECAT UET, or SAT scores.
- LLB Programs: Require both the LAT and PU Admission Test results.
- Art & Design Programs: Require a practical examination in addition to clearing the PU Admission Test.
