Proposed Date Announced for MDCAT Retake
The Institute of Business Administration IBA Sukkur has suggested December 1 as the new date for the Medical & Dental College Admission Test MDCAT, subject to approval from the Sindh Health Department. Preparations and Database Development Underway
IBA Sukkur has begun assembling a team of experts to prepare a comprehensive database of questions for the test. In a report submitted to the Sindh High Court through the provincial advocate general, the health department outlined its collaboration with IBA Sukkur and the extended timeline for the MDCAT 2025.
Appointment of Key Representatives
The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council PMDC has appointed Imdad Khushak, the Controller of Examinations, as the focal representative for the MDCAT 2024. Additionally, the health department has named Deputy Health Secretary Zohaib Hasan Sheikh as its representative in managing the exam.
Proposed Change in MCQ Format
IBA Sukkur has formally requested the PMDC to adjust the MCQ format, suggesting a reduction from five options to four per question, aligning with their standard testing format. Currently, MDCAT exams, including those conducted by Dow University of Health Sciences and other provinces, provide candidates with five answer options per MCQ.
