PHC Orders To Retake MDCAT 2023 within Six Weeks

In a significant development regarding the Medical and Dental College Admission Test MDCAT for the year 2023, the Peshawar High Court PHC MDCAT Test Schedule 2023 has issued its verdict on a case related to the examination process in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP. This verdict reaffirms the KP governments decision to conduct a retest for MDCAT within six weeks, aiming to uphold the integrity of the admissions process.

MDCAT Retest Date 2023:

The PHCs written verdict comes in response to allegations of cheating during the MDCAT exams in KP, as revealed by the Joint Investigation Team JIT. In light of the JIT report, the KP government had taken the decision to re-administer the MDCAT. The high court, in its verdict, expressed its commitment to uphold this decision and emphasized its non-interference in the matter post-approval by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet.

The court has ordered the MDCAT retests to be conducted within a six-week period, in accordance with the directives provided by the cabinet, with a strong emphasis on ensuring transparency throughout the process.

PMDC MDCAT Test Schedule 2023:

Back in September, the Peshawar High Court had temporarily withheld the release of the MDCAT 2023 Results due to allegations of cheating, specifically the alleged use of Bluetooth devices for cheating purposes during the test. The court had adjourned the hearing until September 21, seeking responses from key authorities, including the Chief Secretary, the Executive Director of the Educational Testing Agency ETA, and the Registrar of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC MDCAT 2023 Retest.

MDCAT Result 2023:

Its worth noting that the Supreme Court SC had previously declared the MDCAT mandatory for admissions to medical colleges across the country in December 2021. In a comprehensive five-page judgment, Justice Shah emphasized the importance of regulating admissions to medical and dental programs in public colleges based strictly on merit, as per the policies of provincial governments.

The three-member SC bench, consisting of Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, and Justice Munib Akhtar, had reserved the judgment on September 27, 2021.
