PED Prohibits Extra Fee Collection from Matric Students
Punjab Education Department has firmly instructed private schools not to collect tuition fees for March and April from matriculation students. Official Directive from the Education Secretary
Secretary of Schools Education, Khalid Nazir Wattoo, has directed all district education authorities to ensure strict compliance with this order. He warned that any school demanding advance payments would face consequences. He emphasized, “Schools are strictly prohibited from charging fees for March and April.”
Complaints of Withheld Roll Number Slips
Despite the directive, reports indicate that some private schools have withheld roll number slips from students who have not cleared additional payments. This has raised concerns among students and parents, prompting the authorities to take further action.
