NUST Introduces Need-Based Scholarships 2025




The National University of Sciences and Technology NUST has announced need-based scholarships for students across all its campuses in Pakistan. These scholarships 2025 are available to both newly admitted students and those already enrolled in any academic program. Eligible students can apply for financial aid at any stage of their degree. Sources of Financial Assistance

NUST funds these scholarships along with financial support from various external organizations, including the Higher Education Commission HEC, Punjab Educational Endowment Fund PEEF, Ihsan Trust, and others. This initiative ensures that deserving students receive assistance based on their financial needs.

When and How to Apply?

NUST allows students to apply for financial aid at any time during their academic journey. Those applying for admission can also submit their scholarship applications simultaneously, as financial aid decisions do not impact admission outcomes.

Mandatory External Scholarship Applications

To be eligible for NUST scholarships 2025, students must also apply for external financial aid programs such as Scottish, BEEF, PEEF, CMEEF, and SEEF. Proof of application or results must be submitted alongside the NUST scholarship application.

Applying for Scholarships During Admission

Complete the NUST Need-Based Financial Aid Application Form NFAAF, providing details on financial status, household income, and expenses.

Submit the NFAAF by the admission application deadline. Late submissions will not be considered.
Attach all required documents in soft copy format with the application.

Upon receiving an email from the Financial Aid Office FAO, submit hard copies of documents to: Room No. 108A, First Floor, RIC Building, NUST, Sector H-12, Islamabad

If shortlisted, a provisional financial aid offer will be provided alongside the admission offer letter in July/August. Students can accept or decline the offer.

To confirm financial aid, students must submit their admission dues. Scholarship recipients may later request to transfer their aid to another program by emailing [email protected].

Applying for Scholarships During the Degree Program

Students already enrolled at NUST have two options for financial assistance:

Fee Installment Plan – Students can apply for fee installment payments by submitting an application to their department’s account officer.

NUST Need-Based Scholarship – Enrolled students can apply through the official website: NUST Scholarship Application Form.

Higher Education Opportunities for Balochistan & FATA Students Phase-III

Students from Balochistan and erstwhile FATA can apply for a specialized scholarship program if they meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must be 22 years or younger at the time of application deadline.
  • Must hold a valid domicile/local certificate of Balochistan or FATA, attested by the district administration.
  • Must have completed 12 years of education FA/FSc/I.Com/ICS/DAE or equivalent with at least 60% marks before the application deadline.
  • Must not be a recipient of any other HEC or government-funded scholarship.

Application Process for Balochistan & FATA Scholarship

Submit the application online at HEC Scholarship Portal and upload the required documents, including CNIC, domicile, and attested educational certificates.

No hard copies of documents are required at this stage.

Pay a non-refundable Rs. 500/- test fee via 1Link 1Bill Invoice using bank, ATM, or mobile banking.
Verify payment on the online application form.

Submit the completed online application. Incomplete or saved applications will not be considered.

Ensure application submission by clicking “Submit Application/Verify Payment” and confirming acknowledgment.

Scholarship Test Details

The Phase III, Batch III test is scheduled for November 3, 2024. Applicants must complete all requirements before this date.
