NUMS Entry Test Details Announced for Medical & Dental Applicants

NUMS MDCAT Test Date 2024

Earlier this year, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC provided a tentative date for the NUMS MDCAT 2024. Now, the official date has been confirmed. The PMDC announced in May that the test would be held between the last week of August 2024 and the first few days of September 2024. The finalized date for the NUMS MDCAT 2024 is 1st September 2024. The test will be conducted on Sunday at 10:00 AM, simultaneously at various exam centers across Pakistan. More details on test centers can be found below.

Basic Qualification/Eligibility for MDCAT

To be eligible for the NUMS MDCAT 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Citizenship: Valid citizenship of Pakistan, Overseas Pakistanis, Dual Nationals, and Foreign Nationals can apply.

Educational Qualification: Candidates who have completed their FSc/HSSC/A-Levels/12th class are eligible.

Result Awaiting Candidates: Students awaiting results can also apply.

Validity: Only the NUMS MDCAT 2024 conducted on 1st September 2024 is valid for admission to MBBS/BDS programs for the 2024-2025 session.

How to Apply for MDCAT 2024

To apply for the NUMS MDCAT 2024, follow these steps:

Registration:

Application Process:

Select the country where you will take the MDCAT test international test centers are available for overseas Pakistanis.

Pay the NUMS MDCAT fee via Kuickpay/Challan. The registration fee for exam centers in Pakistan is Rs. 5,200/-.

Payment Methods:

Debit/Credit Card: Enter card details and complete the payment.

Invoice Challan: Download and print the invoice, then pay at any nearest Askari bank.

Internet/Mobile App/OTC: Follow online banking instructions using your Unique Consumer/Kuickpay ID.

Post Payment:

After payment, refresh the MDCAT Home page to update your status.

Upload Images:

Upload a passport-size photo with a blue background, and a clear front-side image of your CNIC/B Form/NICOP/Passport.

Personal Information:

Update personal information and choose preferred exam cities/stations.

Submit Application:

Check the box and click “Submit Application.” You will see a confirmation message.

NUMS MDCAT 2024 Test Pattern

The NUMS MDCAT syllabus is divided into two parts:

Part A: Contains 150 multiple-choice questions from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English. The time allowed is 150 minutes.

Biology: 35% 52 MCQs

Chemistry: 25% 38 MCQs

Physics: 25% 38 MCQs

English: 10% 15 MCQs

Part B: Known as the Psychological Test, this part has 100 multiple-choice questions. It has a weightage of 5% of the test, with a time allowance of 30 minutes and no negative marking.

NUMS MDCAT Admit Card

Students can download their NUMS MDCAT admit cards from the portal at least one week before the test. Registered students will be able to access and download their admit cards. For international centers, the time for the NUMS MDCAT 2024-25 will be indicated on the admit card. Candidates must bring a printed admit card and their original CNIC on the test day. It is advised to arrive at the exam center an hour before the test, as the gates will close half an hour before the start of the MDCAT.
