New Passing Marks for Inter Students for Exams 2025

BISE Karachi students, theres an important update for you! The passing marks for intermediate exams have been increased. In a significant move to reform the education system in Sindh, the Inter Boards Coordination Commission IBCC has announced that the passing marks for intermediate part 1 and part 2 students will rise from 33 to 40 marks. This change will be effective starting from the academic year 2025, marking a crucial step towards enhancing educational standards across the province.

IBCC Announces Educational Reforms

At a recent press conference, IBCC Executive Director Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah detailed the new BISE Karachi inter passing marks decision. He explained that this adjustment comes after a comprehensive review by a sub-committee at the Karachi Secondary Education Board. The meeting resulted in the consensus that all educational boards in Sindh must adopt this updated passing criteria. This reform aims to improve academic rigor and ensure that students meet higher educational standards.

Grace Marks Will Also Be Introduced

Alongside the increase in passing marks, Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah announced the introduction of grace marks for students. This addition is part of a broader educational reform plan designed to support students in achieving their academic goals. Additionally, the exam format will transition from an open-choice to a close-choice format. This change will provide students with 100 percent options in exams, making the assessment process more standardized and equitable.

These reforms reflect the Karachi Boards commitment to improving educational quality and ensuring that students are better prepared for their future academic and professional endeavors. The increased passing marks and introduction of grace marks are expected to support students in their academic journey, fostering a more robust and fair evaluation system.
