National Skills University NSU Gains International Recognition
National Skills University Islamabad NSU has earned candidacy for the highly regarded "Committed to Excellence" certification and badge, awarded through the International Self-Assessment Tool for Centres of Vocational Excellence ISATCOVE. This recognition, supported by the European Commission and implemented by the European Training Foundation ETF, places NSU among leading global institutions committed to vocational excellence. Commendation for Dedication to Excellence
In a congratulatory letter addressed to NSU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mukhtar, the university was praised for successfully completing the ISATCOVE self-assessment process. The letter highlighted NSUs dedication to advancing vocational standards, stating:
"The Committed to Excellence certificate and badge acknowledge your institution’s proactive engagement in ISATCOVE’s self-assessment process. This recognition encourages a culture of continuous improvement, supporting institutions in identifying developmental areas and pursuing excellence in vocational education."
ISATCOVEs Global Impact on VET
ISATCOVE, launched in 2023, aims to elevate global standards in vocational education and training VET. By 2024-25, the initiative had expanded its reach, offering a comprehensive framework of training, mentorship, and actionable strategies to enhance vocational education standards worldwide.
Acknowledgment of Faculty Efforts
Vice Chancellor Dr. Mukhtar expressed deep gratitude to NSU faculty members, including Prof. Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad and Ms. Spogmai Shahab, for their relentless efforts over the past six months. He emphasized the importance of this achievement, saying:
"This milestone underscores NSUs steadfast commitment to excellence in technical and vocational education. It is both recognition and motivation to continue setting global s."

According to a press release, NSU’s recognition under ISATCOVE aligns with its broader efforts to strengthen international partnerships.
