National Defence University Entry Test Result & Fall Admissions 2023

Entry Test Results

This list includes the successful candidates who have met the passing criterion of obtaining at least 50% marks in the entry test. Its important to note that candidates with discrepancies in their forms but have successfully passed the entry test are marked in YELLOW. These candidates must address their deficiencies prior to the Research Proposal Defence to ensure their marks are considered.

Research Proposal Defence Schedule

The Research Proposal Defence is a crucial step in the PhD admission process, where candidates present their proposed research topics to a panel of experts. This presentation allows the panel to assess the candidates research aptitude, clarity of thought, and suitability for the program. The Research Proposal Defence for different disciplines has been scheduled as follows:

Day 1: August 9, 2023 - LMS, GPP, and IR Disciplines

Candidates who have passed the PhD Entry Test in the Leadership and Management Studies LMS, Global Public Policy GPP, and International Relations IR disciplines are required to appear for their Research Proposal Defence on this day. It is imperative that candidates report to the Admission Office at least half an hour earlier than the scheduled time.

Day 2: August 10, 2023 - SS and PCS Disciplines

On the second day, candidates who have successfully cleared the PhD Entry Test in the Security Studies SS and Peace and Conflict Studies PCS disciplines are scheduled to present their research proposals before the panel. Similar to the previous day, candidates are advised to arrive at the Admission Office well in advance.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Presentation Preparation: All candidates are advised to prepare PowerPoint slides of their Research Proposals, as submitted during their application process. These slides will be used to aid their presentations before the panel.

• Attendance Responsibility: Its crucial for candidates to understand that attendance at the Research Proposal Defence is their sole responsibility. The university will not assume responsibility for any cases of absence or lateness. Candidates who are absent during their designated presentation slot will not be considered for the final merit list.
