KP Worker Welfare Fund Scholarship 2024
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Worker Welfare Board/Fund has announced the KP Worker Welfare Fund Scholarship 2024 for the children of industrial and mine workers. This scholarship is available for students enrolled in colleges, universities, and institutions for the academic session 2024-25. It is designed to support workers children across three educational categories.
For students in Intermediate/DAE programs, the application deadline is October 31, 2024. Those pursuing undergraduate degrees can apply by December 31, 2024, while MBBS, Engineering, and postgraduate students have until March 31, 2024, to submit their applications.
The KP Worker Welfare Board will cover all educational expenses, including admission fees, tuition fees, transport charges, hostel fees, library fees, computer fees, and exam fees. In addition, a monthly stipend will be provided: PKR 3500 for students in the Worker Welfare Board’s institutions, PKR 4500 for those in graduation programs, and PKR 5500 for students in medical, engineering, or postgraduate programs.
To be eligible, workers must meet the criteria defined in the Industrial Relation Act IRA 2012, including a minimum service period of three years and registration with EOBI or ESSI. Employees of the Worker Welfare Board and Fund, as well as their children, are also eligible for the scholarship.
KP Worker Welfare Fund Scholarship 2024 is categorized into three groups:
- Category 1: Students in Worker Welfare Board institutions or, if unavailable, in Public Schools or Cadet Colleges. These students receive a PKR 3500 monthly stipend. The application deadline for this category is October 31, 2024.
- Category 2: Students in government or private universities or affiliated colleges, receiving PKR 4500 monthly.
- Category 3: Students in engineering or medical degrees or postgraduate programs, receiving PKR 5500 monthly.
Required documents include an admission offer letter, scholarship form attested by factory management, copies of CNIC/Form-B/Birth Certificate, worker’s CNIC, EOBI/ESSI worker card, DMC/marks sheets, service certificate, payslip, and fee payment receipts.
