KP Government Delays Matric & Inter Exams Due to Ramadan
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa KP government has decided to postpone the annual matriculation and intermediate examinations, considering the challenges posed by the holy month of Ramadan. Revised Matric Exam Dates
Initially planned to commence on March 5, the matric exams will now be held after Ramadan. According to the updated schedule, the exams will begin on April 8. The decision was confirmed by Peshawar Board Chairman Nasrullah Khan, who stated that an official announcement will be made following a meeting of all board chairmen later this week.
Intermediate Exams Pushed to May
The intermediate exams, which were originally scheduled for April 10, have also been postponed. The new date set for these exams is May 7, allowing students ample time to prepare after Ramadan concludes.
Reasoning Behind the Decision
The postponement was made to accommodate students and teachers, as fasting during Ramadan could impact their concentration and performance. The KP government aims to ensure that all candidates have a fair opportunity to perform well in their exams without additional stress.
