To qualify for the Japan ADB Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a citizen of an ADB borrowing member country and qualify for the Japanese ODA scholarship.

Must not hold dual citizenship.

Have secured admission to a masters program at an ADB-designated institution.

Hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with strong academic performance.

Possess at least two years of full-time professional work experience.

Demonstrate proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Be under 35 years old at the time of application, although exceptions may apply.

Be in good health.

Commit to returning to their home country and working for at least two years after graduation.

Not be an ADB employee, consultant, or a close relative of ADB staff.

Reside in their home country and not be currently enrolled in a graduate program elsewhere.

Application Procedure for the Japan ADB Scholarship

Interested candidates should follow these steps to apply:

Request Application Forms: Contact the designated academic institution to obtain the application forms and further details about the scholarship.

Complete Required Documentation: Accurately fill out the necessary documents, including the ADB-JSP information sheet, ensuring all sections are properly completed.

Submit Application: Send the completed forms and any additional required documents to the partner institution within the specified deadline.
