Residency Training Programs and Eligibility Criteria

FCPS Training Programs

1. FCPS Level-III 3 Years

Specialty: Hepato Pancreato Biliary Surgery HPB & Liver Transplant
Eligibility: Candidates who have passed FCPS-II in General Surgery.

2. FCPS Level-I 4 Years

Specialties:
- General Surgery
- General Medicine
- Pediatric Medicine
- Diagnostic Radiology
- Anesthesiology
- Forensic Medicine
- Gynecology & Obstetrics
Eligibility: Candidates who have passed and hold a valid FCPS-I in the relevant specialty.

3. FCPS Level-II 3-4 Years

Specialties:
- Cardiac Surgery 3 Years
- Pediatric Surgery 3 Years
- Urology 3 Years
- Neurosurgery 4 Years
- Cardiology 3 Years
- Clinical Hematology 3 Years
- Pulmonology 3 Years
Eligibility: Candidates who have completed 2 years of FCPS training in General Surgery or General Medicine in the concerned discipline and passed the IMM Exam.

4. FCPS Level-III 3 Years

Specialty: Gastroenterology
Eligibility: Candidates who have passed FCPS-II in General Medicine.

MCPS Training Programs

1. MCPS Level-I 2 Years

Specialties:
- Anesthesiology
- Diagnostic Radiology
Eligibility: Candidates who have completed one year of house job and hold a valid PMC/PMDC Registration.

Preference

Preference will be given to candidates holding a Sindh domicile in all specialties.

Admission Procedure

1. Application Submission:

Deadline: 13th July 2024

- CV
- 2 passport size photographs
- Copy of CNIC
- Copies of academic documents Matric, FSC, MBBS degree, detailed marks sheet
- House job certificates
- Valid PMC certificate
- Congratulation letter for FCPS Part-1 for relevant levels

2. Additional Documents for Level-II Induction:

CPSP Congratulations letter for FCPS-1
Experience certificate of 2 years training
CPSP workshops + BLS & IMM certificate

3. Additional Documents for Level-III Induction:

Certificate/Election letter/Letter of congratulations for FCPS-2
Updated PMC certificate FCPS qualification added

4. Application Fee:

An amount of 3000 PKR must be submitted via demand draft to "Director Pir Abdul Qadir Shah Jeelani Institute of Medical Sciences."
