HEC Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2024 for GB Students
The Higher Education Commission HEC has announced the HEC Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2024 for students from Gilgit-Baltistan GB. This scholarship offers an excellent opportunity for GB students to pursue undergraduate studies in top Pakistani universities/institutions. The scholarship is available for students seeking admission in four or five-year BS programs for the academic year 2024-25. The initiative is part of the Undergraduate Scholarship Program for Gilgit-Baltistan Students Batch-IV.
Eligible candidates can apply for the HEC Scholarship 2024 online through the HEC portal before the deadline of September 30, 2024. Applications submitted in hard copy will not be entertained, and the application processing fee must be paid in advance. The scholarship covers tuition fees, hostel charges, and other academic expenses up to Rs. 240,000 per year, along with a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000 and an annual allowance of Rs. 30,000 for books and travel.
Eligibility Criteria for HEC GB Undergraduate Scholarship
To apply for the HEC Undergraduate Scholarship for GB Students, applicants must hold a domicile/local certificate of Gilgit-Baltistan. They must have completed their Secondary School Certificate SSC and Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or equivalent. Preference will be given to students who completed their education in Gilgit-Baltistan. Students currently availing of other scholarships are not eligible to apply. The maximum age limit is 22 years, and candidates must meet the HEC and university criteria for admission.
Important Notes and How to Apply
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the Aptitude Test conducted by the Education Testing Council HEC and their academic qualifications. Applicants must secure at least 50% marks in the test. Applications must be submitted online through the HEC portal at https://eportal.hec.gov.pk by September 30, 2024.
