HEC Law Graduate Assessment Test Notification for Session 2025
The Higher Education Commission HEC has issued a notification for the Law Graduate Assessment Test Law-GAT for the Session 2025. This test is crucial for law graduates seeking enrollment in the Bar Council and is mandatory for obtaining a licence to practice law.
Eligibility Criteria for the Law-GAT includes candidates who possess a Bachelor’s degree in law or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized by HEC/PBC. The test will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions MCQs and cover various law topics. The revised curriculum for the test is available for download on the HEC website.
The tentative date for the test is February 23, 2025, though this may be subject to change. Any updates will be communicated via the HEC website and registered applicants will receive notifications through email/SMS regarding the test date, time, and venue.
To register, candidates should visit http://etc.hec.gov.pk and complete their profile and application. Applicants must select a test centre from the available list, with the test being held at centres where a minimum of 250 applicants are registered.
The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable and must be paid through 1Link/1Bill Invoice.
