Govt Introduces Compulsory Exams System for IT Students
The caretaker minister for Information Technology has said that they are setting the compulsory standards for the IT graduates with the collaboration of HEC. The students will have to appear in the centralized exams. The graduate students, who will pass this exams, they will be allowed to attend the practical apprentice programs. The government is going to give the trainings to 16 thousand students with the cooperation of National University of Technology. He also said that it will be compulsory for the students of all universities that the training will be given to two lac students in a year and these trained people can earn 50,000 to 60,000 dollars and the government will get the foreign exchange of 5 billion dollar annually.
The minister also said that no individual infrastructure is available in Pakistan, where these freelancers can work. We are bringing a very big e-program, which will be initiated within few weeks. The government will offer loans and the platform will be provided to freelancers to work with private sector, where about 5 lac freelancers can work.
The minister also said that good news are also expected about the PayPal and Stripe and Pakistan is going to set up the Start Up Fund, which will be established with the collaboration of high level venture Capital Firms. It is also worth noted that we have 300 MHz Spectrum and with its auction, the 5G will also be introduced and the government is also going to introduce new institute, naming Papa.
