The 2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject has placed eight Pakistani universities on its global list, marking a significant presence on the international academic stage. This years assessment expanded to over 16,300 academic programs from around the world in 55 subjects across five broad categories, showing growth from last year’s figures. NUST leads the pack, maintaining its legacy by ranking highest among Pakistani universities. It showed exceptional performance in Engineering & Technology, moving up 16 places to rank 144th globally. NUST also ranks in the top 200 for Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Civil & Structural Engineering, and in the top 300 for other engineering disciplines.


Diverse Strengths

The University of the Punjab celebrated ranking in 19 subjects, with Library and Information Management notably placing in the global top 50-70. This range of subjects includes:
