Strict Measures in Bhimbhar:
The Deputy Commissioner of Bhimbhar has issued a stern notification warning that schools found in violation of the closure directive will face immediate closure and potential cancellation of registration. This emphasizes a zero-tolerance policy towards negligence in safeguarding students health. Orders have been dispatched to the administrations of the three tehsils to enforce compliance.
Punjab Extends Winter Vacation:
In Punjab, both the School Education Department SED and Higher Education Department HED have recently extended the winter vacation for all public and private schools in the province. This decision aligns with the Lahore High Courts LHC order to prolong the holidays. The extension, overriding the previous schedule, now sets the winter break to last until January 9, 2024, providing additional time for students to stay safe and warm amid the challenging winter conditions.
