Cuban Government MBBS Scholarships for Pakistani Students 2025

The Cuban Government, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission HEC of Pakistan, has announced three fully funded undergraduate scholarships in Medicine MBBS for Pakistani students for the academic year 2025. To be eligible, applicants must have secured at least 70% marks in FSc Pre-Medical or an equivalent qualification and 60% marks in Matriculation. Application Process and Deadline

Interested candidates can apply for the Cuban Government Scholarship through the HEC online portal. The deadline for submission is March 28, 2025. Applicants must ensure they meet all eligibility requirements before applying.

Scholarship Benefits

The Cuban Government will provide the following financial assistance to selected students:

Tuition Fees – Full coverage of academic expenses.
Accommodation – Hostel facility along with essential toiletries.
Food – Meals as per Cuban government regulations.
Stipend – A limited monthly allowance in Cuban Pesos.

Expenses to Be Covered by the Student

While the scholarship covers most academic and living costs, students or their guardians will be responsible for:

Round-trip airfare.
Medical insurance and other healthcare expenses.
Halal food expenses if required.
Visa application fees.

Additionally, HEC will provide a one-time grant of Rs 300,000 to each scholarship awardee after their departure to Cuba. The grant will be deposited into the students Pakistani bank account.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following conditions:

A minimum of 70% marks in FSc Pre-Medical/A-Level Science.
A minimum of 60% marks in SSC/Matric/O-Level.
MDCAT pass with at least 50% marks, as per PMDC guidelines.
Valid USAT-M test score obtained on or after March 28, 2024.
Pakistani or AJK nationality with an age between 18-25 years as of the application deadline.
Result-awaiting students are not eligible to apply.
Final selection will be based on USAT-M test scores.

Required Documents for Shortlisted Candidates

Shortlisted applicants must submit the following documents:

Signed copy of the HEC application form.
Matric/O-Level certificate with IBCC equivalence and attestation.
FSc/A-Level certificate with IBCC equivalence and attestation.
Birth certificate issued by NADRA.
CNIC copy of the father/guardian.
No criminal record certificate original.
Valid passport copy must be valid for at least six months.
Medical certificate including an HIV/AIDS report issued by a government hospital and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs MoFA.
