Chief Ministers Scholarship: A Lifeline for Meritorious Students in Punjab
The Chief Minister’s Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship Program, launched by the Government of Punjab, is a beacon of hope for meritorious students facing financial constraints. This program targets students in their 3rd to 8th semester at public sector universities and colleges, as well as those in the 2nd to 5th year of MBBS/BDS programs. The initiative aims to provide need-based scholarships to deserving students, ensuring they can pursue quality education and excel academically.
The scholarship extends to students from public sector universities, HEI colleges, and medical and dental colleges within Punjab Province. Eligibility criteria include being a domicile of Punjab, having a family income not exceeding Rs. 300,000 per month, and being enrolled in recognized institutions. The selection process is stringent, focusing on academic excellence with specific CGPA requirements: 70% for Science and Arts, and 60% for Medical and Dental programs.
Approximately 20,000 scholarships will be awarded annually, covering tuition fees under this scheme. Applications must be submitted online by February 28, 2025, with no hard copies required.
