British Council Cancels Cambridge Pearson and London University Exams
On Thursday, the British Council announced the cancellation of all Cambridge School Exams scheduled for May 12 due to the countrys unsafe situation. Both the morning and evening shifts have been cancelled, and the British Council is working with Cambridge to determine the next steps. The Country Director of the British Council, Amir Ramzan, and the Country Director of Cambridge International Examinations, Uzma Yousuf, expressed their support for candidates and parents during this difficult time. While cancelling exams on May 10, 11, and 12 was a tough decision, they emphasized that the safety and well-being of everyone involved is their top priority.
The statement acknowledged that the current situation has disrupted the students academic journey and assured them that everything possible is being done to ensure their education continues uninterrupted. The British Council is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as new information becomes available. They also reiterated their commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for students to take their exams.
