British Council Announced Marking Formula for Cancelled Papers
In light of the tense situation in Pakistan, the British Council has unveiled the marking scheme for assessing students in relation to the cancelled examination papers.
"We would like to remind candidates that none of the cancelled exams can be rescheduled for the Cambridge June 2023 Series," Cambridge stated.
Nonetheless, Cambridge has a well-established process for special consideration when exams are cancelled, ensuring that candidates whose exams have been cancelled can still receive their results if they have taken at least one eligible component and completed at least 15% of the total assessment in the June 2023 examination series.
To receive a full A-level result, A-level candidates must take at least one A2-level component. We understand that some candidates may have questions.
The letter also stated that the British Council has made the difficult decision to cancel the exams on May 10th and 11th due to the developing and unstable situation in the country, and out of concern for the safety of its candidates and all British Council staff. This decision was made due to our responsibility.
The letter expressed gratitude to the candidates, saying, "We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support during this challenging time."
