Benazir Bhutto Scholarships Introduced for Balochistan Students
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has unveiled the Benazir Bhutto Scholarships aimed at supporting students in the province. During a conference hosted by the Department of Social Welfare in Quetta, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and non-governmental organizations NGOs in promoting sustainable development and tackling social challenges. Strengthening Public-Private Partnerships
The Chief Minister stressed the critical role of public-private partnerships in executing welfare programs designed to enhance the quality of life for the people of Balochistan. Acknowledging the prevalence of corruption, he reiterated the government’s dedication to introducing necessary reforms to combat unethical practices and foster accountability.
Commitment to Transparency in Recruitment
Addressing issues such as the use of fake degrees in merit-based recruitment, particularly in the education sector, Bugti urged citizens to uphold integrity and accountability. He called for collective efforts to eliminate fraudulent practices and ensure a transparent and merit-based system.
Annual NGO Conference for Collaborative Development
The Chief Minister announced plans to organize an annual NGO conference to strengthen relationships with partner organizations. This initiative aims to encourage active participation in addressing corruption, building trust, and fostering transparency in public welfare initiatives.
Empowering Youth Through Financial Support
Focusing on empowering the youth, Bugti introduced programs to assist young entrepreneurs. In collaboration with Akhuwat, the government will offer interest-free loans to educated young individuals, enabling them to develop innovative projects and contribute to the province’s socio-economic progress.
