Balochistan reopens 1,400 of 3,400 closed schools
The Balochistan government has successfully reopened 1,400 out of the 3,400 schools previously closed in the province as part of an initiative to improve education and boost literacy rates. An official from the Balochistan government informed APP that, through the recruitment of teachers under the School Education Department, an additional 1,800 schools are expected to resume operations by the end of this month, with the remaining 200 schools set to be reopened in the third phase. The latest updates regarding Balochistan reopens 1,400 of 3,400 closed schools are shared online.
The official also mentioned that appointment orders for teachers selected on merit would be issued by the end of the month. Furthermore, over 1,400 previously inactive schools have been revived with the recent hiring of teachers on a contract basis. The government is committed to continuing the recruitment process until all inactive schools are operational.
The Balochistan government is focusing on rapidly restoring these schools, hiring teachers, and enhancing the quality of education across the province. The official stressed that education is a basic right for every child, and ensuring access to education is a shared responsibility. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the provincial government is determined to ensure that no school remains closed due to a lack of teachers or necessary resources.
Special attention will be given to schools in remote areas, with efforts to reactivate inactive schools as quickly as possible, ensuring that no child is deprived of education.
