AIOU Starts Locally Developed LMS for Online Education

Allama Iqbal Open University has introduced the next generation learning management system, which is locally developed and it will help to carry out the virtual classroom facilitation grid and the students can continue getting their education while staying in their homes due to the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic. AIOU Starts Locally Developed Next Gen LMS for Online Education.

The online learning portal is given the title of ‘Aaghi LMS Portal’, which is used to manage the online classes for the BS, B.Ed, MA, MSc, MS, Associate degree, MPhil and PhD programs. The Aaghi LMS Portal is the joint venture of the AIOU and Directorate of Information and Communication Technology and the AIOU has to bear all of its expenses.

The platform allows the teachers and students to connect through the voice, text and videos calls for live face to face interaction without having any interruption. When the students get the feedback, they are satisfied with the performance of this portal and the higher standard of education is being delivered to the students.

There are over 40,000 students of AIOU in all 15 regions, who have joined the academic process after this short gap because of the Coronavirus spread and they get education through Aaghi LMS Portal.
