National University of Medical Sciences was established with the aim to providing quality education in medical and health sciences. Initially this institute was developed as the Federal Public sector University after passing the Act of Parliament on 31 October 2015. The president of Pakistan is Chancellor and Chief of the Army Staff is its Pro-Chancellor. The main aim of the existence of this institute is to promote and achieve excellence in advanced health education, research and this university has the back up of large network of 45 Military Hospitals and single Specialty Institute, 10 Medical Colleges and 4 Nursing Colleges. This university provides the opportunities to students to seek admission in undergraduate and postgraduate education in Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry and Allied Health and Veterinary sciences.
