About Gc Women University

Government College Women University is located in Faisalabad, which started its journey with the establishment of the Intermediate College in 1934 and it was upgraded in 1944 as the Degree College. The government of Punjab raised its status to the postgraduate in 1985. The master degree classes were started in different disciplines and in order to meet the educational requirements of the local female students of the big city, this college was upgraded to the University in January 2013. This university is the hub of social, educational and cultural activities and it has close relationship with business and industrial communities. The university has main and new campuses and over eight students can be inducted in different classes. GCWUF offers the undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in different disciplines and the PhD programs are offered in 7 disciplines and the MS & MPhil courses are offered in 16 disciplines.

The highly qualified faculty staff is appointed to give the education to students and it is added with well equipped laboratories and it has the modern teaching and research techniques, which are the main distinction of this university. There are different faculty departments like science and technology, social sciences, management and administrative sciences, Islamic and Oriental Languages and others. It is recognized by HEC and it offers the PhD scholarships through the HEC programs in different disciplines. The main objective of this university is to provide the students and enable the environment to know about the physical, intellectual and infrastructure and it holds the students to highest moral and ethical values. The university is working hard to get the goals with cooperation of public and private sectors and faculty and students of Government College Women University Faisalabad.
