Admission Criteria
Eligibility for Local Candidates Self-Finance
For local candidates aspiring to pursue their medical education at Gambat Medical College, meeting specific criteria is imperative:
Domicile: Applicants must hold domicile in the districts tagged by the government.
Academic Qualifications: A minimum of 60% unadjusted marks in Intermediate/HSSC or F.Sc. Pre-Medical Group or equivalent exams e.g., A-Level, 12th Grade, etc. is mandatory.
Entrance Exam: As per PM&DC regulations, a pass in MDCAT 2023-24 with a minimum of 55% marks is required for MBBS admission.
Application Process
To initiate the application process:
Applicants need to download the application form and Challan Form
After paying the challan at MCB, the original receipt, filled application form, and all necessary documents must be dispatched to the Directorate of Admissions at Gambat Medical College before the specified closing date.
Hand-delivered submissions will not be entertained.
Late applications will not be accepted.
Required Documents
Applicants must provide attested photocopies of various documents, including academic certificates, MDCAT marks certificate 2023, domicile, PRC Form C, candidates and fathers CNIC/B Form, among others, as per the provided checklist.
Submission Deadlines and Fees
The last date for submitting applications for the spring 2024 intake is January 9th, 2024. Applicants must pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 2000/- through a Challan and submit a DD/Bankers Cheque of Rs.100,000/- for IEAP Local categories, which will be adjusted after confirmation of admission. For overseas Pakistanis, a DD equivalent to US $11,970/- in Pakistani Rupees is required upon publication of the advertisement.
Eligibility for Overseas Pakistanis
Aspiring medical students holding permanent foreign nationality or being overseas Pakistanis can also seek admission at Gambat Medical College under specific criteria:
Academic qualifications from outside Pakistan with a minimum of 60% marks in three subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics.
Successful completion of MDCAT 2023 with a minimum of 55% marks for MBBS admission or qualified SAT with minimum scores in specified subjects.
Submission of proof of parents working outside Pakistan.
