About Federal Directorate Of Education Islamabad
Federal Directorate of Education FDE, Islamabad was established in 1967 under the Ministry of Education MOE. The key purpose for the establishment of FDE was to look up and manage the educational structure in the capital territory.
Following the transfer of the MOE, the Federal Directorate of Education began operating in April 2011 as an affiliated department of the Capital Administration and Development Division (CA&DD). In May 2012, the status of CA&DD was changed to Ministry of Capital Administration and Development. Following the formation of the new government in the 2013 general elections, the MoCA&D was again transformed into the Capital Administration and Development Division from June 2013.
