Cadet College Petaro, Jamshoro is the military boarding school, which is located in Jamshoro district, Sindh, which is about 20 kilometers away from Hyderabad and Pakistan Navy is the custodian of this cadet college. This cadet college is considered as one of the most prestigious boarding schools of Pakistan and it covers the area of 700 acres on the west bank of Indus river. This cadet college was established in 1957 at Mirpur Khas and in 1959, it was shifted to its present location. This college is the autonomous institutes and it was governed by Board of Governor and the principal of the college is of the rank of commodore and he is responsible for administration of college according to rules, which are laid down by the Board. This college provides the education and training to young students of class 7 to 8 and they can become the potential officers for Pakistan Armed Forces.

This cadet college is subdivided into eight different houses including Jinnah, Liaquat, Ayub, Latif, Iqbal, Qasim, Shahbaz and Sachal and the young and intelligent students are admitted in this cadet college in class 7, 8 and ‘O’ level, who apply for admission and after that the college administration manages their admission test. The qualifying candidates are called for interview and after passing the interview, they are awarded admission in the respective class. The candidates start attending their classes regularly and this boarding school gives all facilities including living, messing and sports activities to the students so that they can focus on their studies and also develop their mental growth, which can help them in becoming good and responsible citizen of Pakistan. When the cadets pass their matriculation exams, they are granted admission in the inter classes and most of the cadets are recruited in the armed forces, who can become good military officers and they can show their performance in their professional career.
