The Army Public School for girls (Azam Garrison) was founded in 1950 at the 52-Tufail Road, Lahore Cantt to educational facilities to the children of Army personnel and civilians residing in the Cantonment. Initially it was a primary school but with the passage of time it became a high school. In 1983 it was upgraded to the status of an Intermediate College for Girls. In 1990 the College was upgraded to degree level and was bifurcated as a separate institution. The institution is now a high school for girls.

The Army Public School & College APS&C for Girls (Azam Garrison) is collectively operating under Lahore Garrison Education System LGES and Directorate of Federal Government Educational Institutions (Cantt / Garrison). The institute offers classes from junior section, primary, middle, secondary, higher secondary and graduate level courses and programs. It is affiliated with Federal board of Intermediate & Secondary Education FBISE, Islamabad and University of Punjab PU, Lahore.
