Admission Announcement for B.Sc Generic Nursing Program at State College of Nursing, Mirpur, Azad Kashmir

The Office of the Director General of Health in the Independent Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir has officially announced admissions for the four-year B.Sc Generic Nursing Degree Program at the State College of Nursing in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir. This program is open to candidates from various backgrounds, including residents of Azad Kashmir, refugees from Jammu and Kashmir, and residents of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Program Overview

The B.Sc Generic Nursing program is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the healthcare field. The program will commence on 1st January 2025, and the last date for submission of applications is 31st October 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for admission:

Age Limit: Applicants must be between 14 to 35 years of age as of 1st January 2025.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates should have completed their Pre-Medical Group with a minimum of 50% marks in Matriculation. A certified transcription of the matriculation mark sheet is required.

Additional Documentation:

For applicants over 18 years: A computerized national identity card, a medical fitness certificate, and an attested copy of the ID card.

For applicants under 18 years: An original birth certificate and a recent passport-size photograph.

Domicile and Residency: Applicants must provide proof of domicile and residency status.

Jhelum Valley Banian Bala: 4

Neelum: 3

Poonch: 7

Bagh: 6

Haveli: 2

Mirpur: 7

Bhimbar: 6

Settled Immigrants in Pakistan: 15

Immigrants Post-1989: 5

Open Merit for Gilgit-Baltistan: 10

Special Considerations

A quota is also reserved for the daughters of martyrs of the Pakistan Army and the employees of the Azad Kashmir Public Health Department.

Application Process

Candidates must submit their applications to the Principal, State College of Nursing, Mirpur, Sector 5-A, Azad Kashmir, along with all required documents. Late applications will not be accepted, and candidates must submit separate applications for each program they wish to apply for.

Last Date for Application Submission: 31st October 2024

Interviews: Scheduled to start at 9:00 AM on 11th November 2024 at the State College of Nursing, Mirpur. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.
